Everything you need to know about selling on Cog.

Getting started

Create a free account and click + Sell to list your first item. Listings are free — Cog takes a 5% fee only when an item sells.

Writing a great listing

• Title — include the brand, model, and key spec (e.g. "Shimano 105 R7000 Groupset 2×11").
• Category & condition — be accurate. Mislabelling condition leads to disputes.
• Price — check recently sold listings to set a fair price. Buyers can also make offers.
• Photos — upload up to 8 photos. Show any damage or wear honestly. Good lighting and a clean background help items sell faster.
• Description — include size, year, mileage, any known defects, and reason for selling.

Managing offers

Buyers can offer up to 10% below your asking price. You'll receive an email notification for each offer. Accept, decline, or let offers expire from your dashboard.

After a sale

• You'll receive an email confirmation when payment clears.
• Ship the item within 3 business days. Package it securely.
• Funds are released to your bank account within 2–5 business days via Stripe, minus the 5% platform fee.
